Meet Emily

Emily Patton is a 20 year old sophomore News Editorial Journalism student at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Balancing her life of full-time student and working, Emily writes for the College Heights Herald covering the WKU cross country teams and softball. Emily also freelances with a Hopkinsville newspaper, the Kentucky New Era, covering high school football.
Emily also dabbles in public relations while employed with Western Kentucky University working as a secretary in the Computer Science and Mathematics offices.
She also contributes to BleacherReport.com and PaulickReport.com, a popular horse-racing forum created by Ray Paulick, a former editor of the Blood-Horse Magazine. In high school, Emily gained experience as newspaper editor, lead anchor on the broadcast news and working on a yearbook staff.
Her interests in sports range from football to horse-racing, competitive running and college basketball.
Following graduation, Emily hopes to be hired full-time at a newspaper. Currently, she is interning for the summer at the Union County Advocate, a newspaper in Morganfield, Ky.
